This is not the first time this season we've dipped south of Zero degrees, but it's the most prolonged bout of arctic air.

Didn't see the teens yesterday, with wind chills around -25. Zero at bedtime last night, and all the way up to 11 right now.

Hoping to do some coyote calling, and have a late goose season starting Feb. 1. I always have something I like to shoot at targets, but this wind chill is just brutal.

An Open Letter to Winter:

Winter,

I've really enjoyed the short time we've spent together, however, I'm sad to say it just isn't working out between us.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

Wishing you the best,

Inchr48

That's too cold for man or beast.
I shouldn't say this.....but....Lows in mid 40's. Highs in mid to upper 70's.
Sometimes living here is good for the old bones.

We've been having winter around here. Fog all day, three or four days without seeing the sun. Daytime high 41. Nightime low 39.
