this year i am gonna try a mechanical for turkeys. i'm leaning towards a grim reaper, so it can do double duty on other critters.

or maybe the NAP gobbler getter.

what does the regulars use here? turkey season is just around the corner, and i need to get one that flies.

thanks

one thing nice about the reapers besides they really fly and hit the mark as good as my field points is they fly great open or closed..............tra

Cliff,

Try the new 2 inch 3 blade grim reapers. They do fly very well out of my set up Matthews S2 and will cut big channel wound like the rage but with better penetration.

You don't want a great penetrating head for turkeys. Any of the larger over the top style heads are just fine. I like Rocket Hammerheads. They get enough penetration to get into the boiler room but wont pass through on most occasions.

Gee: the Rage two blade works just fine for me and penetration is certainly not the problem! It also shoots to the same point of aim as my field points.
