Trinity alps

I'm heading up to the trinity alps on saturday.. guna be hunting out of hobo gulch.. has anyone had any success with this area??? Are the deer still staying put up high?? Thank you:wavin hello:

most won't say and certainly don't name names, The bucks are where you find them. low, high and in between.
Certainly see some toads taken in the Alps. Friend just scored a 4x5 that is his third book buck from the same basin.(not that particular one though)

I talked to a buddy after opening weekend of B zone. He was up high and said that the deer have moved down low. He met some folks and they stated that there was snow a week before the opener...?

Well my plans to hunt the alps have been shot down. I will be heading up early sunday morning and the forest service in Redding will be closed that day. So I won't be able to pick up a wilderness permit. My plans have been changed to hunt the boundary of the alps north of hayfork.. Any info in this area?? thanks alot guys.. guna be around hayfork bally or monument peak..

You can pick up a permit (self-validate) at any hour at the forest office Weaverville. Dont let the permit hold you back. Good luck, you just might come across a good one.

You should try scouting the woods you are going to be hunting and not the internet.

MM, they wont be open, but the kiosk where the map is will have pre-filled fire permits too.
