Trinity River salmon

I jeeped down to a favorite hole to get some trout for dinner . Caught enough. Noticed salmon jumping so scrounged through my gear and put some salmon gear on the TROUT POLE. Hooked and lost 2 salmon. Went back in the morning with my salmon rod and hooked 2 more landed one. According to F&G counts at the weirs , there are more coming. I probably had 8 good hits but only 4 hook-ups in about 5 hours of fishing total . Had 1 drift boat come by each day with 3-4 salmon on their stringers.
Trinity looks promising this year.
