I have drawn for a mule deer hunt in NM (unit 30). I have heard many conflicting reports about the deer poplulation and best location to hunt. I will ask you guys/gals. You are most likely the folks that can provide some helpful information for scouting and hunt areas in this unit.
I am excited about the opportunity to hunt 'once again'. It seems each year it is more and more difficult to draw. Unit 30 seems to offer way too many tags? Are there that many deer there?
