Lompoc Gun Club Open?

Could any of you folks out there in Ca. tell me if the Lompoc Sportsmens Club/ Assn. is still open ? While I was still in the A.F. at Vandenberg I use to shoot there alot, mostly trap and skeet. Any way thanks for any info.

It closed in 1994; was sold to a developer who promised they would "never close it down". A year later it was done. Now it's a vineyard. I was on the board for a couple of years around 1990, and even served as V.P.; not a very rewarding post.

The Santa Ynez gun club is open, the Santa Maria gun club is open and of course the Vandenberg AFB Rod and Gun club is open. If you want to shoot at VAFB, give us a call ahead of time at: 805 606 4560 to put you on an E.A.L. (that's Entry Access List to you acronym deficient types). We need 72 hours lead time to get you on one.
