So I built myself an E-caller and have downloaded a bunch of different sounds from these 2 sights so far
Varmint Al's Eclectic Web Pages (http://www.varmintal.com/)
Western Rivers | Quality Products For The Hunter (http://www.western-rivers.com/downloads.html)
Does anyone else have any sights they could post up that have downloads available?

Can you share the details on how you built the caller?

I pretty much built it like the one described on VarmintAl.com
The MP3 player was on sale, so I got everything for about $80 total.
Went to Radio shack for all of the items needed.
Cheap MP3 player Gigaware™ 4GB Video Media Player - RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3814517)
Mini Amp Mini Audio Amplifier - RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062620)
1/8 x 1/8 Male chord 6-Ft. Shielded Cable, 1/8" Plug to 1/8" Plug - RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102950)
Powerhorn/Speaker 4x6" 50-Watt Indoor/Outdoor Powerhorn - RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104031)
Pretty simple to put together. How you want to mount everything is up to you. Mine is in a tiny duffel bag with the speaker poking out. I have seen them mounted to small tool boxes. I am going to build a housing for mine soon that is more like the "foxpro" style. Maybe take apart a big cheap flashlight and use that as a platform....

I bought a small plastic toolbox from WalMart for $4. The bottom was already dark gray, and I had cans of 3 color camo paint, so I just painted the box in striped camo. I mounted the speaker on the top (also now camo striped). That covers the carrying handle, but the horn makes an easy enough handle. I padded the inside bottom of the toolbox so the amp and MP3 player are pretty stationary, and I use the small top tray of the toolbox for extra batteries.
Even though the VarmintAl site has some long (16 and 20 minute) sequences, I created my own by selecting the sounds I wanted and numbering those in order, with a same number 2 minute silence clip to break them up. I also have a 50' extension cable for the MP3 player so if I want to keep that with me and skip tracks as needed, I should be able to. I haven't tried that out yet, but I'm afraid of the low wattage pr-amps may have too much loss over that much cable.
Just some thoughts from another one who built that caller from those plans.

I have thought about getting an extension cable for just the speaker to get it away from me and still have control of the mp3 player and volume of the amp.....

good job on the e-caller. I built one from Varmint Al's website and it is great. I used a small camo 6-pack ice chest to store the speaker and amp and use my cell phone for the mp3's. If you already have and mp3 player or can use your cell phone the whole caller cost about $50.
My son and I called in a grey fox and some javelina when we were in Az. last January.

Dave,
Thanks for the shopping list. Looks like I'll be at the local Radio Shack in the next few days!

Here's mine. I mounted the speaker to a pelican 1040 case. Still no luck with the yotes. Too thick here I believe. I kill more deer and turkey hunting than I will ever call in (I do have some buddies that have had good luck calling them in in pastures).
I have, however, pounded the crows with it!

If you don't mind waiting a while for parts, you get get a lot of them really cheap on Ebay.

I found a small Coleman 6 pack chest at Goodwill for $2. Cut out a hole in the side and glued in the speaker. Used camo tape since it was yellow. Added a plug through the sidewall. I plug into it then it runs to the amp.
My I-pod holds the calls.
The MP3 editing siftware that Varmint Al has is something to try. Many calls are very short. You can use it to stick a bunch of calls together so you don't have to cycle through and mess with things. It is real handy.
Sweet setup Tominator.
