A good gunsmith should be able to adjust your trigger , The price is likely around $50 . I have not seen a adjustable drop in trigger for the 7400 (I just did a quick look). Finding a good gunsmith with a good attitude to do it is a quest all its own .I have seen places that you can just send the trigger assembly to and have it done .

smokin54, where can I get this done? I have a 7600 that I'd like to get the trigger lightened a bit, but I don't trust the local smith to pull it off. This type of work is best left to the specialists.

I had Jeff Tandy (909)927-2574 do a trigger job on my NEF and it came out great . I dont know if he has/will do a Remington 7600 or what he would charge . He has been pretty straight forward with me when he cant/wont do a job .Hes in hemet CA.
Other than the above I have done all the work myself on my other guns . I have bought tools from brownells done the work and resold the tools on several projects ,
I dont care for shipping my guns off somewere (What gun?)and the other local gunsmiths either had a real long backlog or a attitude I didnt like. If you do a search for 7400 trigger job you will come up with several places and one may be good for you .
