Homework pays off...maybe

I'd been lookng for a blind to rent next season...spent some time cruising around the valley Sat. and Sunday, and talking to those who rent "spots." Don't...(and can't) really know how a spot will shoot next year, but it sure was apparent where the ducks wanted to be on both days...and both days the same. Really helped to narrow down the decision...and I will be in the rice...for good or bad. At least the spot I'll have has seen a duck or 2 this year(and that's all any of us can hope for)...next year, who knows? Tim, if it's worth a crap, you and the boy have a road trip coming...as does a cop I know from Indio. Talked to an old friend in the retail gun industry that I used to be on the DU committee with...he gets invites to some of the old line major dollar clubs...and they haven't shot well daily this year either. I've talked to guys that shot the White Mallard, Wild Goose and Last Chance this season and blanked...it's still a crap shoot any day. But at least I'll get to be out there...I guess non of us can really ask for more than the chance.
