I'm new to bowhunting and I'm researching optic options. I'm blind in one eye. What would you do for optics if you only had one eye?
Thank you for any and all help!

Did you read what I posted on your other post in the Optics Forum?

you only use one eye to shoot i am left handed but shoot right handed because of a car wreck and my left eye sight is about gone so my right eye is dominant and i shoot out 70 plus yards so you will be fine

do you mean an optic as in a bow sight? I typically close the eye that is not looking through the peep, so one eye would be fine.
If you mean actually binoculars, even if you are not able to see out of both eyes I would still get a regular pair of binoculars and just use them regular. They will still work just the same...as far as brand, I personally only use Vortex.

I'd say get a range finder and then get a spotting scope that is variable. Both of those are monoculars. The range finders most often have an 6x or 8x power rating and are valuable in getting that range for a bowhunter. The spotting scope will be nice for you to sit and glass with out at distaces a 14-40 scope or higher. Get nice glass since you only got one eye to use. Swaovski, Zeiss, Leica, all good glass with great range finders and spotters, Leupold has good glass an nice range finder and spotter at a little cheaper price.

I AM ALSO BLIND IN ONE EYE, SINCE BIRTH. BUT I STILL LIKE USING BINOCULARS AS THEY ARE EASIER TO HOLD UP STEADY WITH BOTH HANDS. A TRIPOD W/ SPOTTING SCOPE WORKS GREAT ALSO. I USE THE LEICA 12OO RANGE FINDER BECAUSE OF ITS SMALL SIZE, BUT YOU NEED TO GRAB IT WITH BOTH HANDS IF YOU WANT TO LOOK PAST SHOOTING RANGE AND HOLD STEADY!
OF COURSE IF YOUR LIKE ME, YOU WILL CATCH SOME S#$T AT HUNTING CAMP WHEN YOUR BUDDIES START NOTICING THAT THE UNUSED SIDE OF THE BINOS ARE SO DIRTY YOU CAN'T SEE THRU THEM. (NOT THAT IT MATTERS TO ME!)

Yes, I'm completely blind in my right eye.
I'm right handed but I've spent my whole life shooting left handed.
What I'm looking for is advice regarding rangefinders, binoculars, monoculars and scopes. I hate the idea of spend $700 to $1500 on optics when I'm only going to use half of them. That's why I wanted to see what you'd do if you only had one eye.
Thanks for any and all help!

This little spotter might be an option. 10-20 X 40
