Is that blind at Walker. I've been up there 5 times, but I don't remember anywhere you would be near trees, or be able to build a blind like that on dry ground near water. Nice strap of birds.

Nice blind...nice birds...nice dog.

One question: What's with the beer cans? Guns and beer don't mix. I realize you probably didn't start drinking until you had finished hunting, but th is not readily visible from these photos. Let's not give the antis any more ammo.

Again, nice birds.

Hey! TF Coyote MYOB i'm sharing some of my hunt photos with you. The beer was after our hunt and there's no law against that. This will be the last time I post anything on this # site, it seems everyone wants to complain and # just go out and # hunt and have fun....have a beer afterwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Loomis,

Nice straps of ducks and sunset.

For what it's worth, I think a beer after a hunt is fine. "After the hunt" to most people and me means when the guns are put up for the night or stowed in the vehicle. In your pics the guns are out right next to the beer can in the blind, meaning the guns still need to be handled after the drinking. This is counter to what I've been taught, every safety class I've been to and just plain common sense. If your need for a beer is more than your regard for basic gun safety you need to shake yourself and wake up.

Take a minute to read the thread in the bowhunting forum about the guy who just accidently shot a guy. He had a pot pipe in his car. I'm sure the jury will be real impressed by the fact the guy mixed a deadly weapon and being impaired.

Say you have an accident also after your beer or two while picking up and putting your shotguns into a vehicle after your hunt. Think the jury or cops will understand? Or are you the the type that says it can't happen to you?

We can also discuss the message the pics of a duck blind with beer cans and guns sends to the younger hunters and those who have never hunted. The pic makes perfect ammo for the antis.

Loomis- Great looking pics all around. Nice ducks, and a beautiful dog. However, I have to agree with Jesse and TF that the pics don't make it look like a casual post-hunt brew. Its just not the smartest thing in the world, and as Jesse said, could come back to bite you in the ass if you had some sort of accident, and there were pics like that in the camera at the scene. I also realize that it was probably only one beer, and to most that has very little effect on them.

Your comment about not posting here anymore is the one that really gets me. If you don't want to post here, I don't think anyone is forcing you to. However, you will quickly find that it is impossible to find a better board with kinder people than here at JHP. Being a part of JHP is like being part of a family to me, and everyone is just trying to look out for each other, and for the sport in general. If you take the time to realize that, I think you would see that the comments made shouldn't be offensive at all. The anti-gun legislation has enough ammo already, and the gun laws here in CA are getting stricter by the minute. I think if you step back and realize that, even you may agree that the pics imply a wrong doing. If not, and you think everyone giving you a hard time is full of crap, that your decision, but when you post a bunch of pics like that, you are opening it to public opinion.
