My hunting partner called me yesterday and after numerous attempts to bag a deer in D7, he nailed a NICE 3x3 just East of Shaver Lake. This was his 3rd trip up to the sierras in 14 days. Due, to my schedule I couldnt go with him, so he went alone and worked an area that looked pretty promising. My hat goes off to him for sticking with it and putting in the effort. Now its my turn, gotta get up there. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-dancin-red.gif

LavaHunter,
We'll be in the Wishon area also. Camp will be dad's older white and brown motorhome, usually just off the lower road (the road that leads to Rogers Ridge). We'll have a light gold Jeep Cherokee (son's vehicle) and an light blue Ford Ranger. Stop and say hello if you're in the neighborhood. Best of luck to you!! Do a little snow dance too! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-biggrin-aqua.gif

Hoghunter,
Congrat's to your buddy,now it's your turn.
Muley51 and Lavahunter,
I will be in that area as well (most likely the top of the spanish trail) I will keep an eye out for your vehicles, maybe stop and say hello.I will most likeky be in my orange CJ5.Good luck to you guys.
P.S. Hold off a couple more days on the snow dance,I have a camp set up at the top of the Spanish trail and I really don't want to go up the trail with about 6" of snow http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hair-raisin-blue.gif

BuckSnort,
Ok, I'll hold off a couple days, but that's all...LOL Actually, I was watching the weather channel on TV last night and IF they're right (and it's always a big IF with weathermen) we should be getting some weather by Sat and possibly through Sunday. I sure hope they're right! We'll probably be closer to the dam, maybe Hoffman, at least part of the time, but it all depends on the deer. Anyway, best of luck...snow or not. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-biggrin-aqua.gif
