GRAND HAVEN, Mich. | Much has changed since Denny Grinold started fishing Lake Michigan back in the early 1970s. He ventured out in a 16-foot boat in those days and remembers feeling like he was in a toy bobbing in the ocean. He had no electronics, no downriggers, no GPS — just a burning desire to catch one of the chinook salmon that had just been stocked.
