PIR Sensor Mode

Is there a difference in using the chime or alarm modes on the pir sensor? Most of the info has suggested using it in the chime mode. Will it be bad to use in alarm mode, and will it have a longer delay between pictures?

hey hilljec, haven't got but a minute but the answers are: yep, nope, yep, lol.
Chime 5 sec. Alarm 30 sec. round about numbers. That's in a RS pir with no modification to the resistors. bat
