Hey has any JHO'ers ever had any experiance with the Mendoza air rifles?

Yes, I used to have (2) of them growing as child in Mexico...Man, I shot the heck out of those rifles...Accurate and fairly powerful. I took lots of small game with them.

I bought a .22 last year (I think it was the 600 with a synthetic stock). Haven't had much of a chance to shoot it yet. I've put about 25 rounds through it so far. It seems to be a good rifle. I need to add a scope to it still.
I let my boys shoot a few rounds and the youngest (he's 13) has a little difficulty get it cocked. His arms aren't quite long enough.

I recently bought a nice little Mendoza Jet50 gun. I believe it may have been made in the 1950's, not sure, but I am looking for more information. It is a lever action gun, similar to the Daisy Red Ryder, with wood stock and wood forearm. It has sling swivel hooks on the side of the stock and end of barrell, but no sling. If anyone has more info I would like to hear from you. bangpla@aol.com.
