reception in the woods

I have a hand held garmin GPS that is a marine version. I have had it for about 5 years now. How is the reception in the woods with the handheld units with a standard antennea?

I've got 2 units, one an older Magellan (model 4000) that has a helix antenna and is more sensitive than my Garmin Venture with a Patch antenna and it seldom has any trouble, even in the house.

But even so, the Garmin does ok in the woods canopy of Oak Trees here where I live alth sometimes it's a little slow in locking on....
