I have 2 of these guns for sale. According to the Remington website the model 11 was the first semi automatic shotgun produced in the united states. Both guns are 12 gauges with 30" barrels and shoot only 2 3/4" shells. Both guns are in original condition. I would consider both of them to be in excellent condition. Both guns are engraved with a pheasant on one side and a duck on the other.
Gun #1: Has a modified choke barrel and a 13 1/4" LOP. This gun does have a social security number engraved on it. It is engraved on the right side of the receiver and it is about 1 1/2" long and the numbers are 1/8" tall.
Gun #2: Has a full choke barrel and a 14" LOP.
Both guns have a smooth barrel and a beaded front sight. I would guess these guns were made between 1942-1947 based on the serial number. They were hunted with very little. I just need to sell them so I can buy a new gun for my son who is ready to start hunting this season. These guns are to big for him.
I am asking $250 each.
I can email pictures of the guns if interested. I can't figure out how to post the Pict's on here. It says file to large.
