I have an old crosman model 1377 classic airgun that I have had for almost 18 or 19 years.
Its always worked great for me up until last year when it developed a slow air leak inside the cocking
mechanism. It seems whenever i go to cock it more that once or twice it sounds like the air is escaping inside
the gun somewhere and doesn't have the punch it once had.
Is there somewhere I can find a break down manula or an exploded parts diagram so I can figure out how to take it apart and look at it without tearing it up.
I'm hoping its some sort of o-ring or something like that.
can anyone here help me?
Thanks

Bear in mind that a lot of these part numbers are obsolete, and have been replaced with newer versions. Good luck.

What I'm really wanting to do is modify it into a hunting rifle with a longer barrel and a stock and a scope.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I have actually done what you just described to many 1377's. I call it the 1377 LR. It can be a VERY accurate long range (by airgun standards) headshot gun for small game if built well enough and scoped with a powerful mildot. A steel breech and barrel band is definitely neccesary for proper conversion to a long bore. With a 24" barrel, and full valve/hammer/port mods, they will generally send a 7.9 grain pellet at ~800 fps with a metal piston. Kinda cool looking too. You can see what they look like here: http://www.pspairguns.com/id12.html. Very light and accurate little carbine. They carry and point quite well with the stock, but they are a little wobbly compared up to some heavier models. Excellent from a rest though. Anyways, let me know if you need any advice when you start building it. Have fun.
