Hey Dax, Welcome to Jesses! I'm sure somebody out there will be able to give you some advice. I'd love to help out but we don't get to use our atv's out here in SoCal to much when we go hunting. It's hard enough just finding public property to hunt. You might try a post in the homemade discussions too. Good luck, somebody shoud have tips for you.

Dax, unlike most of the people I hunt with I do have the gun boot mounted to the front rack on my Yamaha Kodiak.
The main thing you want to watch for is the mount angle so that you can get on and off ok and also so that the bottom of the boot does not get in the way of front tire during a hard turn.
Something else to consider is that you now place the boot in harms way for oncoming obstructions, mine has been mounted like thisfor 3 hunting seasons without any problems. Just remember to be aware of it's position.
