I've been a hunter shooter all my life but never touched a muzzle loader.
I love shooting 12 ga rifled slug guns with foster slugs so I thought I might
really enjoy the .69 minnie ball shooting.
I want to know everything but dont take that to mean I am asking for everything.
I 'd just like to know where to go to get the best info and hopefully hear
from some guys who are actually shooting some of these.
I understand the minnie balls typically rance from approx 500 gr to
as much as 800 grains. I want to know all the recommended and proven
powder substitute combinations and bullets etc.

I want to use the rifled barrel version that has the 42 inch barrel.
Does anyone know if there are other suppliers of this replica
than Armisport ?

thanks

preventec47, welcome to JHO http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-jhp-rocks.gif

You've spelled out a tall order. Anything pushing 800 grains is gonna hurt at both ends of the gun! I don't shoot anything that big, so I can't offer you any advice, but I'll be watching to see what AMMOe says. He's our resident expert on those kind of things.

I'm glad you're leaning toward traditional though. I have an in-line and it's OK for hunting, but when I want to shoot a muzzleloader, I want to do it the way my ancestors did. Trads are cool!
