PF's Director of Marketing and PR to be part of live shows on the lakes and in the fields

Saint Paul, Minnesota– Pheasants Forever (PF) announces Bob St.Pierre, the organization's Director of Marketing and Public Relations, is joining the FAN Outdoors Radio team, where he will serve as a fill-in host and co-host. FAN Outdoors can be heard Thursdays from 7-9p.m. and Saturdays from 6-8a.m. on KFAN AM-1130 in the Twin Cities metro.

From pheasants to fish, duck blinds to bass boats, cabins to campgrounds, FAN Outdoors has been covering what's happening in the outdoors for 14 years. St.Pierre joins the FAN Outdoors team that includes "The Captain" Billy Hildebrand, Outdoor News editor Rob Drieslein, and Minnesota DNR's Mike Kurre. St.Pierre has been a regular guest on FAN Outdoors during his five years with PF.

"Bob St.Pierre is a bona fide outdoor rube and his experience, insight and personality is the perfect fit for the FAN Outdoors team," said Chad Abbott, KFAN Program Director, "Listeners who have heard St.Pierre on air before already know what I'm talking about, and new listeners can expect fresh perspectives in a uniquely entertaining way."

Hildebrand recently took over Saturday morning hosting duties and has plans for adding a new flavor to the show. "I'm taking FAN Outdoors on the road," explained Hildebrand, a professional bass angler, diehard pheasant hunter, and retired school teacher. "This summer and fall, FAN listeners will be treated to 'reality' radio. You'll hear fish jumping, geese cackling, and dogs barking as we bring the world of hunting and fishing to your radio dial directly from the lake, duck blinds, and pheasant fields."

"I've had the opportunity to spend some very memorable days in the field with Billy these last few years and I'm really looking forward to being a part of the FAN as he revolutionizes the world of outdoor radio," said St.Pierre, who oversees the public, media and marketing relations for Pheasants Forever and its quail division, Quail Forever.

St.Pierre added, "KFAN has been a tremendous partner to PF. This new elevated relationship is just another example of the Fan's conservation ethic." For the past five years, KFAN has hosted the Build a Wildlife Area phone-a-thon to raise funds for Pheasants Forever's Build a Wildlife Area campaign in Minnesota. That phone-a-thon has generated over $20,000 before matching grants in that time. After matches, those dollars turned into $100,000 which contributed to seven land acquisitions covering more than 2,500 acres now open to public hunting. KFAN was also a large media partner of Pheasants Forever's National Pheasant Fest, which attracted 30,000 attendees to Saint Paul's RiverCentre this past January.

St.Pierre hails from Michigan's Upper Peninsula and takes great pride in being a "Yooper." He graduated from St.Cloud State University in 1996 with a double major in Mass Communications and English. After graduation, he spent seven seasons with the Saint Paul Saints Professional Baseball Club working his way up to Assistant General Manager before joining Pheasants Forever in January 2003. He and his wife, Meredith, currently reside in Saint Paul. St.Pierre, an avid baseball fan, is also co-owner of the Waterloo Bucks Baseball Club in Waterloo, Iowa.

The Fan Radio Network can be heard throughout Minnesota and into Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota and Canada.
