The potential baseball strike is over and the season resumes. Back to nine innings of endless lines at the concession stand. However, the end of those lines is near.
Companies are beginning to offer services at various sports stadiums enabling fans to place a food order from their seat using their cell phones. Dial4Snax of San Diego and CellBucks of Toronto have begun offering the service at sporting events.
Fans with cell phones can pick up a menu at the stadium and with their phone, email address and credit card, can have their food order delivered to their seat by runners in about 10 minutes. The convenience does come at a price. A 7.5 percent surcharge is added to every order.
