View Full Version : Hunter Demands Feds Install Border Fence

Duncan Hunter, R-Calif, author of the fencing provisions of the Secure Fence Act of 2006, has introduced new legislation in the House of Representatives to require the construction of double-layered fencing along the U.S. border with Mexico within six months, according to a memo sent to the National Association of Chiefs of Police.

As previously reported, the language of an amendment submitted by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, into the Fiscal Year 2008 Department of Homeland Security funding bill, H.R. 2638, specifically exempts DHS from having to build any fence at all.

Pretty sad, isn't it...
Too bad Duncan Hunter did not do better in the primaries. IMHO, no one wants to deal with this issue and the front runners will not even talk about it.

One of McCain's pledges last week was to build a fence and secure the border. Of course, that would be at a price of 12 million illegal immigrants gaining amnesty.

Yea, he wants the fence to seal them in and then give them amnesty against the will of the people.

Lots of talk about rewriting the guest worker program and implementing it again.
The "guest workers" came here for a short period just to work, were housed, fed and got paid very well(in fact so well they willingly left their own countries to get this work), then left and went back home... All this was provided by the host ranch or farm and done willingly by the "guests". They worked hard, had no intention of staying here, taking over our country or bringing all their heirs and relatives here permanently.
It worked very well until the farm workers union and the ACLU gutted it and set the course we are now on, having to deal with ILLEGAL aliens who gladly break the law sneaking in knowing not a damn thing will be done to them... They now get free social handouts at taxpayers expense, pay no taxes nor SSI, crowd our hospital emergency rooms and bring their gangbanger criminal buddies to prey on the easy pickings of the gringos who are too dumb to stop them. Why do you think they would risk their lives to sneak in ILLEGALLY?
This guest worker program would be a step in the right direction, of course right after building the fence and sending back all those who snuck in ILLEGALLY...

Oh no, that is not correct. Only 10 million because 2 million of them are criminals and will be sent back to Mexico immediately. I heard McLame say that, and I believe him, don't you? http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bag-on-head.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bag-on-head.gif

The liberals can't decide if they want Sen. Obama or Clinton.

But the Republicans have chosen McCain (even if the conservatives don't like him). Here in CA where only Republicans can vote in the primary, Senator McCain was the overwhelming choice.

Lots of folks on this board are saying that Republican politicans have abandoned the people; but unfortunately to me it looks like the people have abandoned conservativism.

Thats a great point Common Sense and a scary one at that. I think as our nation faces huge economic problems and heads further towards bankruptcy we will be at a split in our history. The scary part is the people may turn left and head further towards socialism and expect the government to bail them out "somehow". Ayn Rand said,"Somehow always means someone". And that someone is always going to be the people who take personal responsibility and earn a living for their services and products in a free market without coercion. We all know thugs, robbers and politicians alike only take and never produce for themselves. History has alread proven that the most generous and humane economy is a free one without intrusion. There are scary days ahead for this nation and freedom.

CS, once again the voice of reason.
Conservative values and ideals matter less to the public at least here in CA. I live in a predominantly Republican County yet like all areas in CA the liberal cities always seem to get the vote.
I tend to think the sheeple really don't care, till they get the bill, then all hell breaks loose...
And , rcrosby that is a great post, I especially like "We all know thugs, robbers and politicians alike only take and never produce for themselves."
The times they are a changing...

I am in a fairly conservative area too. In fact, my congressional district is only one of two that McCain did not carry in the CA primary. Romney won by 216 votes, but there's still a few thousand to count!

That is it in a nutshell easymoney. You are what your taught. When the teachers union whose sole priority is to enrich the teachers, runs the country, you will have problems. You ever watch those videos of the middle east where reporters interview students who say they would love to die killing the evil american? What does every sucsessful dictator do? Keep your people scared and uneducated. Their education is controlled soley by the dictator. I swear if any candidate from any party ran soley on vouchers I would vote for him. Think about it. I live in CA. I'm sure it costs at least 10 grand per student to educate. I am in construction and have done private schools and public including LA Unified school buildings. I am sure that an LAUSD building is triple what some private buildings are. I hear constantly that we need more money more teachers more room blah blah blah. Somebody suggests giving a 4000 dollar voucher to students to give to the public or private school of their choice. 4 grand vs 10 grand if they opt to go private. I can assure you so many would go private that we would not have to pay triple to build new buildings. I can also assure you that people would probably have to dig in their own pocket and add to that 4 grand but their children would get a better education. Why do our leaders not jump at this opportunity? Better education for less money. It's all about the children after all. You know why it can't happen. The teachers union spends enormous amounts of cash to stop it. If someone could give me a good reason not to do vouchers I am all ears. I think the schools are going liberal and screwwing up the country. JMHO. I spent all day at a university today driving a big truck and equipment through the campus. There were lots of signs, mostly liberal (the kids love Obama by the way) and I have to tell you. I have driven through herds of cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, bear, deer, elk, buffalo, and college students. College students are the worst. They got that phone or ipod in their ears and they will literally walk right into you. Buffalo are a close second but I think it is because they are so big we probably should give them the right of way. These dumb kids think if they are in a crosswalk tyou better stop BEFORE they get there or they will slam into you. (Sorry off subject but it was a brutal day!) Anyway as our society gets dumber and brainwashed by too many teachers that don't care,(please don't go crazy, I knoww there are many great teachers some of which are close friends of mine) it will only get worse. Again I repeat. There are many many many wonderful public school teachers! But the system is broken here in CA. And I blame beaurocracy and the teachers union. Go ahead and flame me now. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bag-on-head.gif

Editted to add:
Vouchers would end school overcrowding. Free up literally billions of dollars between new building and cost of students. Parents would be able to have their children taught the way they want. The competition would be nothing but good for all the kids. How many of you think the parents should NOT be able to have the kids taught what they want? I know there are some that believe that and that is scary. If this is THE country of freedom and liberty, but some people want to be the "dictators" of what parents teach their children, we are on track for being "controlled by a few". JMHO

Technically, they are all criminals.....

Having said that, once they gain their "amnesty" how long before they all ask for a raise at work????
So much for that cheap labor.
