Heading to Rice Lake (Barron county) in mid-June. My fishing partner has a cousin renting us his cabin for a week.

Anyone fishing this area? We are open to trying different lakes during the week.

I love to Musky fish, my partner likes walleyes.

Appreciate any comments.

South a bit near Hayward you will find Nelson lake. I have fished it and found plenty of walleye. That has been about 10 years ago. But, that area has plenty of Flowage lakes with lots of wallys.

I guess we will also fish Bear Lake (Barron and Washburn Counties). 1,300 + acres, 80' depths with lots of gravel points. Supposed to be good for crappie and walleye. With the structure, I'm surprised that Smallmouths aren't that common.

Heading up this Saturday (14th). Any word on the flooding situation in the West Central counties? Also, any closures on 90/94 getting thru the Dells?
