Smith & Wesson’s “Aiming for Alaska” Promotion Underway
1/9/08
Incentive Program Established to Reward Smith & Wesson Top Gun Dealers
Springfield, Massachusetts – Smith & Wesson Corp., announced today that there are twelve weeks remaining in its new Top Gun Dealer incentive program, “Aiming for Alaska.” The new program, designed to reward Smith & Wesson Top Gun Dealers and their retail sales associates for selling Smith & Wesson, Walther and Thompson/Center firearms, is still accepting registration forms for new participants. By enrolling in the program, qualified Smith & Wesson Top Gun Dealers will become eligible for the grand prize featuring a deluxe seven-day Royal Caribbean Alaskan cruise along with various other prizes.
The program, which began November 1, 2007 and runs through April 30, 2008, features 25 grand prize trips for two people to Alaska for Top Gun Dealers and their guests based upon sales of Smith & Wesson products. All participating Top Gun Dealers are also automatically eligible to win free Smith & Wesson firearms. Qualified Smith & Wesson Top Gun Dealers who do not win the grand prize will receive two free M&P polymer pistols. In addition, Smith & Wesson is also offering incentives to retail sales associates for their efforts during the program. Qualified sales associates of Top Gun Dealers will become eligible to win prizes consisting of an all expense paid trip to Smith & Wesson headquarters along with free firearms and free Smith & Wesson merchandise.
All Smith & Wesson Top Gun Dealers are invited to register for this six-month promotion by submitting a registration form found in the “Aiming for Alaska” program brochure. To qualify for prizes, dealers must purchase a minimum of 100 new Smith & Wesson, Walther or Thompson/Center firearms (including muzzleloaders). On a monthly basis, Top Gun Dealers and sales associates will submit redemption forms used for each transaction. The top ten qualified dealers by volume of units sold will automatically win the trip to Alaska while an additional 15 Top Gun Dealers will be drawn from the qualified list for the remaining trips.
Qualified counter sales associates of Top Gun Dealers will be eligible for three prizes: a trip to Smith & Wesson headquarters; a free firearm once a minimum of 50 guns are sold during the six month promotion; and free Smith & Wesson website merchandise. For each gun sold, sales associates will also earn a $5 S&W Buck. Sales associates can begin redeeming the S&W Bucks for website merchandise at any time. Once a minimum of 50 guns has been sold, the S&W Bucks can be used toward the purchase of firearms from a pre-selected list ranging from M&P pistols to an Elite Gold Shotgun.
“Following on the success of last year’s Shooting for Hawaii promotion, the “Aiming for Alaska” program rewards dealers and their sales associates for growing Smith & Wesson sales,” said Tom Taylor, Smith & Wesson’s Vice President of Marketing. “Not only does each Top Gun Dealer have the chance to win a seven day cruise in Alaskan waters, but they are also presented with an opportunity to reward their sales staff with unique prizes. Smith & Wesson is committed to helping retailers strengthen their sales and we hope that all Smith & Wesson Top Gun Dealers will take advantage of this program.”
