Muzzy Tall Man Award 2007
1/2/08
Each year, Muzzy Products Corporation bestows its prestigious Tall Man Award to someone who “stands tall” among his or her peers. This person contributes to the community and exceeds all expectations to promote and protect the future of archery and bow hunting. This year, Muzzy credits not one individual, but the entire Easton family with these accomplishments.
Easton Technical Products began as a garage shop and one man’s passion to perfect archery back in 1922. Doug Easton’s tenacious desire for the perfect arrow led to radical new designs and major performance advancements in archery equipment. Doug’s son, Jim Easton, took the helm from his father and advanced the company to the next level expanding into other sporting equipment lines. Today, Greg Easton’s vision for the future guides the company started by his grandfather.
In addition to being a leader in technology, the Easton family contributes like no other in our industry and is a great steward of our sport. The family has established two foundations, Easton Sports Development Foundation (ESDF) and Easton Sports Development Foundation II (ESDFII). Through these foundations, the Easton family has donated millions of dollars to promote competitive Olympic archery programs, archery range development, bow-hunting education programs and other select programs that promote and protect archery and bow hunting.
“It’s a privilege to receive Muzzy’s Tall Man Award,” says Greg Easton, president of Easton Technical Products. “Our family has been involved with archery for more than 85 years, and we feel honored to be recognized for our work in this industry. It’s great that Muzzy acknowledges significant contributions to archery and bow hunting, and we’re proud to be among those who’ve received this honor.”
