View Full Version : Missouri Muzzleloader Buck

The Missouri Muzzleloader season started on the 23rd of November and lasts till the 2nd of December. I hunted for a total of one hour before I scored on an 8 point 2 1/2 year old buck last tuesday afternoon. I use a grunt tube by Vector Game Calls here in Missouri. He came in looking for that "other buck". I put a 240 grain sabot through both lungs at 35 yards. This guy had a bad case of ground shrinkage when I found him a 100 yards from my tree stand. He should be good eating. Here is a picture of him with my Knight MK85 .50 caliber with a Leupold 2-7 Vari-X II scope. Sweet shooting gun even if it is older.

Nothing shabby about that, Mailman Bill! Good shooting. Gotta love those LOOOOONG shots too. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif I love the wood on that gun. It&#39;s almost like having a camo job, but still using a wood stock. Really neat!

Nice job mailman, Can&#39;t beat the night muzzleloader. I also have the mk85, predator stock in stainless outshoots my tc encore with ease very accurate and gotta love that timney trigger. So sweet.

The pics were self taken with the timer on my camera Sony H-1. Push the button and hurry like heck to get into position. I don&#39;t like any blood in my pictures...more eye appealing in my opinion. This next pic I forgot to pick up the rifle but it still turned out OK.
