National Association Of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) Announces Winners Of 2007 Industry Achievement Awards

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) is pleased to announce the winners of this year's Industry Achievement Awards at the association's annual meeting and expo in Reno, Nevada. This yearly award program allows the industry's leading distributors to select and honor the association's top manufacturers in several key categories.
This year the awards included the NASGW Chairman's Award for Industry Leadership, Firearms Manufacturer of the Year, Ammunition Manufacturer of the Year and Accessory Manufacturer of the Year. These important industry awards are unique, in that the entire process is decided upon solely by the association's wholesaler members — this year a wholesaler committee was formed to choose up to four nominees in each category, and all wholesaler members were asked to cast one vote for each category.
"The winners in each group are sterling examples of dedication to both continuous product line innovation and to the two-tiered distribution system," said Mike Brown, chairman of the NASGW board of directors. "There were many outstanding candidates for these awards this year, and we depend upon them all to help grow our businesses and our industry — and we applaud them for their ongoing hard work and commitment to excellence."
The winners for 2007 are:
• Chairman's Award for Industry Leadership: Savage Arms
• Firearms Manufacturer of the Year: Sturm, Ruger and Co., Inc.
• Ammunition Manufacturer of the Year: Federal Cartridge Company
• Accessory Manufacturer of the Year: Leupold & Stevens, Inc. (marking its second consecutive win in this category)
