Public Hunting Info in San Luis Obispo Co.

Hello my name is Loye and Im fairly new to hunting and Im 15. Where is some good public land for deer,pig,or turkey in San Luis Obispo Co. Thanks a lot.

First, let me be the first to welcome you to the forum Loye. I wish I was lucky enough to have had such a information source when I was your age.

In SLO county, your main (biggest) public hunting area is in Los Padres National Forest.

I used to have very good luck hunting deer out near Pozo. There is also some access right at the top of Quest Grade on the eastern side that used to hold a lot of deer.

I never hunted pig or turkey while there but I did see a few turkeys.
