Trapper education class at Raccoon SRA Nov. 3

Raccoon State Recreation Area will host a trapper education course, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Saturday class will be held at the property office. The Indiana Trapper Education and Safety courses prepare participants for safe and successful trapping experiences.
Each class provides information about the art of trapping furbearer animals, including trap selection, preparation and maintenance; furbearer biology; scouting for furbearer signs; and fur handling.
Rules and regulations, safety, sportsmanship and ethics, as well as making successful trap sets for both land and water are also covered. All courses include demonstrations and hands-on experience to enhance course effectiveness.
