Here is a question a friend and I were kicking around: Can you put a muzzle break on a .300 Win Mag rifle aftermarket without replacing the entire barrel? If so, what would be the aproximately cost???

http://www.Brownells.com offers a number of brakes that thread on starting at about $50 and they also sell the dies to thread the barrel . You decide if its a job you want to tackle or give to a gunsmith,

Check out http://www.muzzlebrakes.com it is the web site for VAIS arm's ###or call (210) 479-2803 ###they are in san antonio tx. they make exceptional muzzle brakes and are used on a lot of the varmint hunter's assoc. custom gun's i have 2 friend's that have them on there rifles and 1 is a 300 win mag and the recoil is cut down to a very comfortable recoil i would quess down to around a 308 posibly less they can tell you the exact lbs. of recoil before and after the brake is installed. prices start at $175.00 installed and up depending on the gun and the barrell size. ###good luck ### so cal hunter
