Well, bow season opens here on October 1st! I'll probably have to miss the first part of the season, including opening day, because of my shoulder surgery.
I was just wondering when YOUR season opens, and if you've begun to get ready!? I'll be living vicariously through y'all, for awhile....
Hope ya' don't mind.....

You know that early October can be kind of fickle with the warm weather hanging around anyway. Better to get the surgery over with early. Three years ago I shot a buck in early October and was down to a tee shirt and socks by the time I was done dragging that sucker out. That morning was fine 45 degrees. It got up to 70 or so during my drag time n fire mad: Deer allways run down hill...and down...and down.
My best investment was a deer cart. No more dragging for me! I thought I was gonna die.

That's always been an issue with me too ~ I've always worried about the heat & getting the deer cooled down before the meat spoils. ###But, I've yet to get a deer during bow season. ###I still enjoy being out there, especially on those cool/crisp mornings. ###
