Scope for moonlight??

###Im wanting to get a good scope that i will be able to use under a moonlit night for varmint hunting(coyote,Bobcat) Artificial lights are not allowed in Missouri but i can hunt coyotes at night if i can see them for the shot.I would like to keep costs under $300.00.

You may want to do a search on EOTech. ###They make the Holosight for Bushnell. ###They have their own model that is a bit more beefier (metal housing) and also offer various options, even one for night vision capabilities. ###Don't know first hand how they work at night, but I've seen a few fellas discussing them on other boards. ###Just my $.02 worth...

If you can't use a light, I'd tell you to only hunt during the day. ###The only real advantage to hunting at night is using the light to spot the eyes. ###With bobcats, who tend to sneak in unlike coyotes who normally come on the run, it makes them a lot easier to spot. ###Seeing them sneak in during the daytime can be pretty tough. ###Doing it at night without a light would border on impossible and you'll educate way more than you shoot which will mess up your daytime hunting.

The only time I've seen someone (successfully, kind of) hunt at night without a light is a semi-sane friend who did it out at Wister. ###You could only do it with a full moon straight up, standing in a very light sandy patch of ground with a shotgun in hand and nerves of steel. ###He'd stand upright and call with no cover taller than his knees. ###The coyotes would normally be heard before they were seen and they were literally on top of you in seconds. ###You had to shoot quickly... very quickly.

###Thanx guys,the reason for this is it is near impossible to call in Coyotes here in Missouri during the daylight.
