I am in the process of planning a trip to AK for some sea duck hunting. ###We are calling trophy duck hunting. ###I just came back from a sportsman show and not one outfitter went sea duck hunting, at least not any that went after September. ###I was wondering if anyone can offer some assistance. ###I heard the time to go is the end of Dec first part of Jan when the birds look the best. ###I was also told the SE part of AK. ###Any assistance would be appreciated.

Here in SE our duck season ends on Dec 16th usually. There are some seaduck species available in the bays and inlets (as well as puddle ducks and geese heading south). I have a 16-ft Lund that I use. And a cabin on Prince of Wales Island that could be used.

How many hunters are there?

I have done a little duck hunting as incidental to my Bear or Blacktail hunts in the past.
I am fully licensed, permitted and insured to conduct duck hunts just don't get much call for that, but don't advertise it either.
