This is a great website. ###I've already learned a lot in the short time I've been checking it out. ###After 12 years of applying, I finally drew an antelope tag for zone 3, period two. Yee-haw! ###I've only been through the Modoc area once, so I have my work cut out for me. ###My hunt began the day my notice came in the mail and I'm very excited about the adventure I'll be on for the next several months as I work on the hunt of a lifetime. ###Since I live about 8 hours away, I'll probably only be able to take one pre-season scouting trip. ###Any help, advice, or info that you can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

BradCa, Welcome to Jesses, you have come to the right place to the info you need.

I have never been up there myself, but I sure someone here will have some info for you. Just hang tight

There are no antelope up here - who told you that . . .:) ###I'd love to be able to help you, and would almost any other year, but I'm scouting for my father who just drew his first tag after 34 years. ###Congratulations on your draw though!!!

Bradca,

E-mail me and I will give you areas to checkout. I would definately try and make it up there for at least one scouting trip. That should be enough to at least find the goats.

BradCa,
The DFG biologist in Susanville is great. By all means check out your best avenues, but this guy rates above all. One problem, I dont remember his name. I guess I got lucky. Pay them a visit, they're great people. They've treated me and all my buddies with true honesty, I will go back. I dont give too many kudos, but they really are great. Good luck, take pictures, and have a great trip. I did

Great friggin' job. ###Both of my brother's were drawn (first-timers) and I didn't. ###Oh well, I smell a guiding trip. ###Check of the DFG website regarding the Antelope Zone map, it contains lots of other information which will get you going in the right direction.

We put in for the first rifle period beginning in late August. Good luck to you; good luck to my brothers.

I'm 15 and this is the first time I put in for an antelope hunt and I think I got drawn. The people we put in with got drawn and they've gotten their tags already but my dad and I haven't yet. They should be here soon though. I don't know much about this hunt. I'm not sure if we're hunting public or private land yet.

I was fortunate enough to draw a pronghorn tag for Likely Tables, period 2 this year. ###This will be my first time for Antelope. ###Does anybody have any referrels to anybody with private land I can hunt on? ###Or, any other suggestions. ###My wife already has a pronghorn on the wall, I can't take any chances with this one. ###Please reply to GNSanders1@aol.com ###Thanks.
