Hi All,

I got drawn for a Likley Tables Period 2 antelope. I've been looking at the Modoc
National Forest Map and noticed many roads listed as 4wd. I have a Toyota Tundra Pickup
truck that is not 4wd. I was wondering how bad the roads north of Big Sage reservior
are. I live down south and I'll only get a day or two of scouting. I'm considering getting a guide
or paying an access fee. I'm a working guy and I don't have alot of money to spend on this trip.
But getting the tag makes me feel like a millionare. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I Plan
on publishing the detail of the hunting trip on the web and I would like the trip to be a big success. I'm really looking forward to finding a great buck.

Thanks for your time ...

Dave

Depends on where you are driving. ###Most of the main roads (Crowder Flat road, South Main, Timber Mountain road. loveness road) can be driven in a car. ###The roads that take off the main roads, however, are another story. ###You don't necessarily need 4x4, but you do have to go S ###L ###O ###W!!!! ###I drove over many of these roads in a chevy long bed 2 wheel drive pick up and only wished for 4 wheel drive when I got stuck in wet clay. ###Your best bet for antelope hunting here, however, is to get out of a truck and walk.

Good luck!
