I bought a Kifaru pack last year and I am very happy with it. It is more than $150.00, but I thought that it was well worth the money. They have a website, check them out.

I borrowed a buddy's Alaskan pack (made & sold by Cabela's) a few years ago when I went on a 4 night backpack hunt and ended up buying one as a result. ###It's a very nice pack, very durable, and good accessories. ###It's also very reasonably priced (well under your $150 budget). ###It's an external pack frame which is nice if you're going to be doing lots of hiking (as opposed to climbing in which case you'd probably want an internal frame pack). ###The external frame is also nice for hauling out a big animal. ###
Hope this helps.

I've got one of the Alaskans too. ###I have to admit, I don't use it as much as I'd planned when I bought it, but it's a good, comfortable pack. ###
Whatever you get, keep in mind that external frames are great for packing out a hog or deer. ###

Speck,
I'm in the same boat, I don't use mine near as much as I thought I would. ###Now that my wife just had twin boys, looks like I'll be using it even less. ### If a guy is unsure how much he's going to actually use one, he may be better off renting one at a place like REI. ###The Alaskans are good packs, though.

Sounds like maybe you better set that alaskan up so you can carry the twins around with you.....

At least with twins you'll be balanced. For the versatility go with the external frame.Better think about ordering the super mag game hauler from cabelas.Your going to have a load to carry.GOOD LUCK
