This may be a stupid question I don't know.Can We use our A tags to hunt archery season & rifle season?Cause My A tag says (archery and general season buck) So I am not sure . ###Thanks for the reply's

A,B,C,and D zones all have an archery season before rifle season. They can both be hunted with your rifle tag. The archery season for A zone begins July 14 and runs through August 5th. The rifle season Begins August 11 and runs through September 23. You can still use archery equipment during the rifle season. The premium hunts have their own seperate archery season you must draw a tag for, ie the X zones. If you have a rifle tag for them it is not good for the archery season. ### ### ### ### ### ###Fubar

Funny you should ask that question Wavesfr. ###My buddy and I just had the same question last week. ###I didn't know the answer. ###Thanks for clearing that up for me Fubar. ###One question though...If you can use archery equipment during the rifle season ###why do they have a three week gap between the rifle and archery seasons? ###Seems to me they would just run the archery season up to the beginning of the rifle season.

Hey lin how you doing? There's only 6 day's between archery & rifle. archery is 7-14 - 8-05 ### and rifle is ### 8-11 - 9-23 . ###You guy's gonna do both too?

I don't have an A tag. ###I don't know the A zone too well. ###I've never really hunted it because I thought it was mostly private except for FHL. ###I have a D11 tag so archery won't start until 9/1 - 9/23. ###Then the rifle runs from 10/13 - 11/11. ###I think we will do both. If anything it extends the season giving me more time to find em'.

Supposedly, the gap between archery season and rifle (general) season is to let the bucks rut without hunting pressure. They sure get stupid during the rut. ###I've had them run right past me chasing does during the last week of archery season. ###Wish I was a better bow shot!
