Hey all,

Just got around to taking photos... got my hides and euro mount back from my Texas hunt. Droptine Taxidermy in San Antonio did the work. They do great, fast work, and the price isn't bad either.

Check out their site online (http://www.droptinetaxidermytx.com), if you're gonna be down that way.

The did an Axis doe hide, as well as the hide and a euro from my Blackbuck.

I was never much of a fan of euro mounts, but this blackbuck is pretty cool!

Yeah, well... you just keep a lookout for some more. Scott and I will definitely be back down there... and at least one of us will be gunning for a trophy axis. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-cool-shades-down.gif

Hey Brad, I was surprised too... heck, even my wife thinks it's cool (but not cool enough to hang in the main part of my house). I need to hurry up and buy a place so I can build a cabin with a high ceiling

Very nice Speck. Knew you would like the euro. I'm in the same boat with my wife, she doesn't want any eyes looking back at her from a mount.
If I stick the Whitetail buck I scouted up a couple weeks ago during this year's bow season (my first year doing archery), the discussion may be reopened....

Wow, here's a blast from the past... sorta...

The axis hide covers the back of my desk chair in my office. The blackbuck is currently across the back of my recliner. If I ever get around to re-doing my office, I'd like to put in a nice little leather couch. That hide would definitely look good there.

those hides turned out great, I really like the Axis. I have had several done and a buddy of mine wanted the one off the last buck I took. As for the wife aspect I understand, but I had my axis shoulder mounted, and Its going in the living room (I Hope So Mr. Big Talk) I simply expained to her that I have put up with the huge flower arrangements and the fake trees ever since we have been married and now it was my turn. I think it might actually work. She is a great lady and understands that my taking a world class animal isn't gonna happen maybe ever again. So I guess we'll see http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cross-fingers.gif
