View Full Version : Deep Water Set-up

I decided to try something a bit different. Although a bit risky, I thought it would be cool to set up a cam in some deeper water in the middle of a wetland, to try to get some diving duck pics.
I left it out for a few days, and it was super windy. Waves were actually hitting the cam, but I got some neat perspectives of the pics.
Mostly coot shots, but also a couple redheads. I chickened out and pulled the cam after 2 days. I'll probably try again soon now that the wind has died down.
Enjoy!

Great pictures! Don't know that I would have been brave enough to hang a cam like that.

Very interesting pics!
I lost a cam on a creek bank when the creek rose after an all night rain. Last picture I got was a coon swiming by. Then I think it tried to flash under water and shorted everything out. But the CF card still worked and still had pics after it dried out.

My marsh camera is in about the same amount of water but has a lot of protection from wind because it's up against a beaver lodge and has a bunch of marsh grass near by.
