I think my best chance is gonna be in the shoreline shoot, I just wish I could get Carpdog to drop them in the bag instead of tearing thier heads off.

HCIC, my boat still needs a motor and numbers put on. I'm wading and shooting off the docks.

That is unless you happen to have an open spot http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-wave-hello-yellow.gif

Is he eating it? Your hunting buddy may be in for obesity. The most fat in the carp is the head and the belly.

Hey Jesse,
I'm going up there tonight to shoot tomorrow and Saturday. If I see you, I hope you don't mind my stopping by and saying "howdy"! I'll be driving a black Jeep, shooting a green bow with a white arrow.

HCIC and I will be on the water Saturday morning. Over near the east end in the flats. Bass boat he said.

Average lake temp is 53 F according to Big BEar MWD site. Gotta be warmer than that.

I know it's probably too late, but where would be the best spot to get a camp spot? Is there an area where a lot of the shooters camp? heading up this year for the second year and last year ended up pulling off a side road with the fiance and dogs and camped. this year would really like to get a spot near the lake.

Any suggestions or am I too late?

Elhuntr, there are several NF campgrounds around the lake to stay in and there is also a small chunk of NF that butts up against the lake just west of the public launch on the NE corner. When I stay the night I just pitch a tent there and wake up and shoot 30 feet away in the lake. There are no tables or anything there. There are bathrooms over at the launch you can use. THere is a small strip where you can park on the Hwy just above where I camp. there. Make sure you have a NF Adventure PAss if you camp there.

Thanks Jesse!!!!

On another note, I booked supposedly the last camp spot at Serrano campground which is right next to Big Bear Lake

it's a two family campground and will accomodate up to 16 people.

If there is one more group that would like to split the cost of the campground we'd be willing to share our space. Headed up there with my Girlfriend and two dogs. We like to drink some beer but for the most part, pretty relaxed and easy to get along with.

Let me know

Good luck ebberbody.

We're getting a bunch of folks together for supper Saturday night at Firehouse Ribs. It's located where Moonridge St splits off from the main drag as you pass Snow Summit, east of the Big Bear Marina a mile or more.

I'll be there for sure.

If anyone is in dire need of a camp spot we have extra room. spot is 127/128 in Serrano. You'll just need to pay your share of the camp spot. I paid 104 for the site however it's a two family site that holds 16 people, so basically 26 per night for your group. We will be a drinking a little beer and we have two dogs with us.

cell is 323-633-1454 if you need to call me. We're getting there about 8 or 9 tonight.

See ya'll there!
