Went down to San Diego to visit my girlfriend and shoot some yotes with her cousin who is a huntin nut like me. He really knows how to call them in. Its so awesome to see them come running in. Got this one threw the eye with my new kel-Tech and Burris scope. Oh and by the way where heading out again to do some more damage in the morning. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-gunfighter-yellow.gif

Nice job on the yote. Tell me about your new toy and what kind of call you are using. I'm looking for an Ar to add to my collection and don't really know whick one I want.

Good job! Where abouts did go hunting in San Diego? Sure, you can find yotes threre everywhere, but wondered how close you were to city limits hunting?

Hey Raully, Congrats! Off topic a little bit but what do you think of that Kel Tec? I've been looking at that rifle the last few weeks and I'm really leaning hard towards buying one. It seems to be about as close to a "Black Rifle" as you can get in CA anymore. Accuracy? Quality?

Guard dog, do not give up hope. It is actually easy to get a clack rifle in CA. I am now up to 3. I just finished building 2 CA legal ones yesterday. Shoot me a P.M. or email me @ savageracing@gmail.com if interested in finding out how to get one. I'd post it up here but don't want to hijack the thread.

By the way, great looking yote.

Thanks fellas!

Scrapper I was pretty close to the city just outside. Some where in the east county. Dont know SD to well, but plan on moving there in a few months.

Nebraska and GuardDog Its a Kel-Tek SU-16CA in a .223. I had heard good things about it in regards to accuracy for the money. I wanted something I could pop some predators with and have fun at the range. So I went for it. So far so good. I got about 1/2" to 3/4" groups at 100 yrds shooting 55grn factory ammo. Doesnt cycle soft point ammo very well, but shot 5 boxes of FMJ through it without one jam. I think they could have designed the forearm that turns into a bipod a lot better. Its a pain to open. It holds two clips in the stock but it seems to easy for them to fall out. Gonna order the different forearm and get a sling from Kel-Tek. Its light weight and compact, shoots good, and looks pretty damn cool. You could go with a more accurate setup from Panther arms. I hear there AR's a pretty good.

As far as the call we were using. It was a Raspy coaxer from Primos. Made the Rabbit in Destress call and squeaker. Worked the last three times I went out with my buddy. We called another one in to about 100 yrds and I missed darn it. My fault. I wasnt ready and rushed the shot. Both times this weekend they came charging in to the call.
