Well I finaly went and did it. I made my mind up that I wanted a dedicated coyote gun. So I looked at Remingtons, Savages, tikkas, Rugers and CZs. One way or another I found something about each that I didn't care for. I ended up ordering a black Howa Axium in 22-250 from my gun dealer (hope he can find one soon). With the Knoxx industries recoil reducing stock I shouldn't have any problems calling my own shots.

Nice rifle and for sure the right caliber. Those coyotes in the Owens Valley better be watching out. You ever go over the White mountians to FLV? Use to be some pretty good hunting over there, I'm sure it gets hunted hard nowadays.

Been through there a few times but not to hunt, I seem to find enough trouble here in the Owens. I realy should take a trip over there for a little change of pace.
