I've got an old Ben Pearson Fiberglass Recurve Super-Jet bow that I bought a charity flea mart just to shoot around. I was curious about when it was made and what it's worth. So I contacted Ben Pearson Archery via E-mail and this was their response:

Sporty,

### ###This is William Mitchell with Ben Pearson Archery. ###The bow that you have was manufactured for a number of different years. ###Production started on the bow in the mid 1960's and was stopped in the mid 1970's. ###The bow only costed around $50.00 back then, but the value has increased with the age of the bow. ###The bow is going to be worth well over $100.00 now, depending on the condition. ###If there is anthing else that I can help you with just let me know.

Shoot Straight,

William Mitchell

Needless to say I was surprised, because I bought it for $1.50.

It is a 50 lbs. bow and I was also wondering what might be a good arrow choice for it. Thanks for any help.
Good luck to all,
Sporty

Man, that's a great deal you got. ###That's one thing I like about trad bows, they seem to hold a pretty fair value if they are good quality to begin with. ###Try that with even a four year old wheel bow.

For arrows I'd say, depending on your draw length, a 50-55# wood shaft would be a good place to start. ###Recurves with a deep shelf are less sensitive to spine than longbows with a shallow shelf. ###I don't shoot aluminum or carbon so I've got absolutely no advice if you want to go in that direction.

You got a great deal, there... go shoot it!

I have 2 Pearson bows. Mustang and Rouge. I shoot woods, ###2018 alum and even carbons once in a while. ###Most anything will work. It is what you want to use. ###

By the wy, my best deal was on the Mustang. Got it two years ago for $12.00 at a yard sale. ###And i thought I had done good. ###Have fun. ### Billy
