ok guys after about 15 years i think i need a new bow. i have been shooting a hoyt easton prohunter. i have been very happy with it. i have not been involved with all the latest and greatest. what i want is a long compound bow that is very reliable. something i can get dialed in and then just toss in the truck and not worry about this and that. i want it smooth and easy to shoot. i would like 65% let-off, no overdraw, i use sights, just something easy to use and very reliable. price is not an option. thanks for all your help.

Why not go with another Hoyt if you like them. Martin, Matthews, Browning, and PSE just to name a few, all make good reliable bows. Shoot them all and buy the one that feels best to you. I just bought a new Martin last summer after having the same one for 9 years. I suggest you buy the one you like and don't worry about the price. Plan on a $1000 and you will be very happy with which ever one you buy.

I hunted with Jennings, and Golden Eagle in the past and I forked over the $650+ for the Mathews MQ1. Damn!! this is one sweet shooting bow!!! Got it sighted in in about 10 minutes and I am consistantly grouping my shots....PLUS I have not shot a bow in about 3 years prior to this recent purchase. my vote is for the MQ1.

When I said a grand, I was talking about arrows and complete set-up ready for the field.

I have your answer. It's a Golden Eagle Stealth.
It may still be in production but is hardly advertised at all, probably because the arrow speed is a little less than their harder to draw and control, Z cam models. Personally I hate Z cams because they are so touchy.
My hunting buddy Dave and I each bought Stealths and we both love them. They are very smooth drawing, high brace height and ultra forgiving.
Pick any arrow/broadhead, throw it in the bow and it shoots perfect every time. I've never seen anything like it.
They are game killing Sob's too. I've taken black bear and whitetail with mine.
