I'm stuck in the middle between being a traditional shooter and a high-tech shooter. ###I love the challenge of the hunt, but I want to eat at the end of the day too.
The simplicity and 'touchy-feely' aspect of shooting without sights appeals to me. ###However, I'm set on a compound bow.
Do any of you shoot with this combo? ###If so, please enlighten me.

I just use a single sight on my compound. I really couldn't be as accurate as I would like without that reference point on where the arrow was heading.

With a compound, I believe it's a must to have a sight system.

This guy that got me started into bowhunting over nine years ago never used any sights at all. He shot fingers also with his PSE. He always got deer. I guess it would just take a little more practice to perfect.

I've shot compounds for years without any sights and I also prefer to use a release. Most people laugh when they see me go to shoot but they stop laughing when the arrows hit exactly where I'm aiming. There are no rules out there saying you must use sights, just shoot it how you feel best and have fun. Remember PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!

Well I shoot both a compound bow and a long bow.On my compound bow I have one sight set at 20 yds. I have learned (through many hours of practice) that a 20 yd pin is all I need. I can aim a little high or low to adjust for the shot I need. Also I don't use a peep sight I use a kisser button. This gives me a little more shooting light in the morning and evening, it also gives me a wider field of view. But one thing is for sure, practice is the key. It builds confidence, muscle strength and muscle memory. LOL
