Well the coyote stand video was the start of the day but it ended with a meat report at least. This was a red light 196 yard shot on this bobcat. It fell straight down a steep rocky hillside and landed facing us so we had eyes even after it was dead. Worked up the mountain and found it lying downhill about 10 yards below where it was hit. Center punched in the chest. Went up to where he had been sitting and found a fresh gut pile where he had just finished eating his last meal, probably a bunny. Oh yeah, and it's not on video. Kitty #4 for me, one to go.

Did you hammer the kitty with your .204?

Yes I did. It had more damage than I have been getting, must have been the angle or who knows but one really big hole. Can't see it in the pic but the whole left side it missing.

Good hunting. What do you guys do with the skins? Just leave them where they lay or skin them out?

We've been skinning them, I am a rookie at it for sure but we found a place that will tan them for $20 so when we get a whole bunch we are gonna send them in.

$20 per load or pelt? Per pelt would be high, but I wouldn't really know since I am only now getting interested in coyote calling. What are you going to do with them after they are tanned? You guys are doing great.

What bullet were you using? Factory or handloads?

$20 a pelt and check prices that's a bargain. Deerslam, 39 grain Fed Sierra blitz's factory. I have a couple hundred rounds of handloaded 35 Bergers coming to me in order to find which powder load my gun likes and then I am switching to the Berger bullet. I hear nothing but good stuff on all the hardcore shooter sites.

Good deal! That looks like a healthy cat, do you know how much it weighed?

Scrapper, no I don't have a scale but I just ordered the Rapala digital scale for the future. It was a nice cat but not all that much bigger than the other ones I've got this year.
