I recently aquired my grandfathers old Savage -Stevens Model 94C 20 gauge single-shot. Its in need of a new stock. The old one is broken off behind the reciever...looks like something fell on it. Are these easy to get replacement stocks for. I know its not worth much $ wise..would just like to be able to shoot it once in awhile. ###Z

Zeke,

If you have the patience, you can get a new stock pretty reasonably, but you'll have to fit it to the gun. ###Single shots and doubles are a little tricky, and factory fit doesn't always work. www.gunstocks.com (http://www.gunstocks.com) ###is a good place to look. ###I found a decent walnut stock for my double there for about $65. ###That's inletted, but not fitted.

Not sure what a gunsmith would charge for the same job, though. ###Might be worth looking into.

Good luck. ###

May check Gun Parts Corp has a youth model stock for it. ###There are a bunch of different series for that model. Here's the url for the youth model stock. there's other stocks for the different 94 series also. Good luck.
