Anybody familar with this gun. It was my grandfathers and would like some info on it. It looks like it was (nickle)? plated, the only markings are Nitro Hunter with what looks to be a rams skull with horns in between Nitro and Hunter. and it has "Made in the USA 12 guage" on top of chamber area on the barrel. Thanks, Z

The only info on your shotgun I can find in my books is that it was manufactored by Crescent Firearms Company of Norwalk, Conn. They were in business from 1880 - 1930 and were then bought out by H & D Folsom Arms Co. Norwalk, Conn., which has been out of business since WW1. Folsom also imported sxs shotguns from Belgium and sold them under the Crescent name.

When they were in business, Crescent manufactored shotguns and for many companies to be sold under that company's own brand name.

Couldn't find any value on your single barrel shotgun, just sxs's.

Hope this helps..........
