270 Weatherby

Just wondered if anyone handloads for this caliber? If so what powder,primer,bullet,brass do you use? Velocity? Accuracy? ###Also, has anyone tried Remington 7mmWby brass? (run through a 270Wby die) ###Sure wish I knew of someplace that still stocks the brass..

I reload it for a friend. ###I use his Weatherby brass, Hornady 130 or 150 gr bullets, IMR-7828 powder and CCI mag primers. ###I haven't chrono'ed the load yet, and his thin barrel heats up pretty quickly. ###We haven't experimented too much with other powders yet, but have tried Nosler partitions, Speer Grand Slams and Speer Hotcores. ###The Hornady and Hotcores show the best accuracy so far. ###Three shots heat up the barrel and we start getting fliers at that point. ###I do want to try some different powders. ### What have you tried, and how does it work? ###I'll have to check the powder charge at home.
